Dr. Groisman is a NEESPI Project Scientist, UCAR Project Scientist at the NOAA National Climatic Data Center, Asheville, North Carolina, USA. His research interests are in climate variations and global change, as well as in parameterization of climatic processes using the observational empirical data. Pavel is internationally known for his work on analysis of global temperature time series and precipitation time series over the northern extratropical land areas. Dr Groisman was elected a Fellow of the American Geophysical union this year.
