主讲人简介：

Dr. Del Levia is an Associate Professor of Ecohydrology at the University of Delaware in the United States. His research focuses on the hydrology and biogeochemistry of forested ecosystems, with a special emphasis on the dormant season. He is an internationally recognized scholar with more than $4.6 million in external funding and nearly forty publications in international peer-reviewed scientific journals, including Journal of Hydrology, Agricultural and Forest Meteorology, and Canadian Journal of Forest Research. He is currently editing a book entitled Forest Hydrology and Biogeochemistry: Synthesis of Past Research and Future Directions for Springer’s famed Ecological Studies Series that will be released in late 2010. Dr. Levia is also co-inventor of the LaserBarkTM automated tree measurement system that renders unparalleled measurements of bark microrelief that is of great use to forest hydrologists, biogeochemists and lichenologists. He also has served as the Chair of the Cryosphere Specialty Group of the Association of American Geographers. |
