At the invitation of Professor Chen Jin and Professor Li Xiaoyan, Dr. Henry Liu, Professor of Dept. of Ecosystem & Management of University of Pennsylvania paid a visit and gave two presentations on “Critical Zone Science and Hydropedology: Bring out the hidden half of the world” and “Soil Architecture and Preferential Flow across Scales: Revealing Underground Super-highway” on Jun. 7th 2012. The presentation was moderated by Pro. Chen Jin, Deputy Director of ESPRE. More than 60 faculties and students from ESPRE, ADREM, School of Geography, and Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences of CAS attended.
