At the invitation of Associate Professor He Cunyang, Dr. Seoongwoo Jeon, Research Fellow of Korea Environment Institute, Professor Sangki Hong of Korea Anyang University and Dr. HagYeol Kim of Korea Seokyeong University paid visit to ESPRE on Mar. 22nd, 2012. They had academic exchange and discussion with Dr. He Chunyang and others on Sino-Korean land utilization and coverage.

Dr. Seoongwoo Jeon gave a presentation on “Land Cover Mapping and Applications - Focused on the National Land Cover Map of Ministry of Environment in Korea”.

After that, Professor He Chunyang gave a presentation on “Land Use/Cover Change (LUCC) Detection and Modeling”.

Finally, the attendees had in-depth discussion on furthering international cooperation on the feature and difference of Sino-Korea land coverage mapping. With lots of consensus reached. The exchange and discussion lasted for 3 hours and successfully concluded.
