The 1st Working Meeting of CCICED Special Policy Study on the Bohai Oil Spill as a Case for China’s Marine Environmental Management Mechanism

On March 06, 2012, the 1st Working Meeting of CCICED Special Policy Study on the Bohai Oil Spill as a Case for China’s Marine Environmental Management Mechanism was successfully held in Beijing. The Meeting was sponsored by CCICED and organized by ESPRE.

In its work plan for 2012, CCICED has arranged the special research on “Bohai Oil Spill as a Case for China’s Marine Environmental Management Mechanism”, aiming at learning the international experiences of marine environment management and discussing China’s comprehensive environment management system including marine environment management.

The working Meeting identified Chinese and foreign experts for the Special Policy Study with Professor Shi Peijun serving as Leader of Chinese expert team and Professor Olof Soren Linden from World Maritime University as the counterpart.

The successful holding of the meeting indicates the official launching of the research. As the organizer, BNU allied competent organizations both home and abroad to work closely to lay a solid foundation for the expected achievements.
