BNU and Colorado State University jointly held “ONE HEALTH: Human Wildlife Health Resilience Strategies in a Global Change Context”

From March 14 to 18, 2011, initiated and organized by IHDP-IRG project, undertaken by ESPRE, hosted and supported by College of Life Sciences, College of Resources Science and Technology, Academy of Disaster Reduction and Emergency Management under Ministry of Civil Affairs and Ministry of Education, College of Natural and Social Sciences and Infectious Disease Super Cluster of Colorado State University, USDA National Wildlife Research Center, “ONE HEALTH: Human Wildlife Health Resilience Strategies in a Global Change Context” workshop was held successfully in Jingshi Building, BNU, with 25 Chinese and American attendees. National Science Foundation of China, US National Foundation and Asian Development Bank paid high attention to the seminar and sent representatives. The workshop was co-chaired by Professor Shi Peijun and Professor Manfredo.
By identifying and comparing the wildlife conservation present (policy and practice) in China and in the US, the workshop tried to forward joint research or educational initiative under the China-U.S. Strategic Economic Dialogue and proceed in development of projects with the effort of National Science Foundations of both country.
