On March 12, 2009, International Eurasian Academy of Sciences held its presidium conference. Upon recommendation of the China Science Center of International Eurasian Academy of Sciences (CSCEAS) and approval of Presidium of International Eurasian Academy of Sciences (IEAS), Executive Vice President of BNU, Prof. Shi Peijun was elected as Academician of IEAS.

IEAS founded in 1994 is an international academic organization composed of world-known natural scientists, engineering experts and managerial and social scientists. Currently, IEAS has more than 600 members, correspondent members, administrative and honored members from 46 countries and has established science centers in 15 countries.
